Opushka
A one-level house of 122 m² near Moscow: a long moss-green timber body under a thin flat roof, with a lantern over the living room and an open terrace frame.
Key challenge
A compact family house on one level with three bedrooms, living along its garden: every room opens to the same long covered deck.
Concept
One long timber body, 7 m deep, under a thin flat roof. Over the living room a mono-pitch lantern rises to 5.3 m and lets the south light in through one long ribbon window; a reading loft hangs under it. To the west an open timber frame carries the roof over a terrace, with a birch growing through it.
