# Lex te Loo Architects > An international architecture and urbanism bureau working on metropolitan frameworks, territorial concepts, and architecture of presence. We turn complex urban and territorial forces into architecture with clear logic and powerful presence. Site: https://lexteloo.com Founder: Lex te Loo Based: Netherlands; works between the Netherlands and Russia Founded: 2018 Contact: info@lexteloo.com ## Position Lex te Loo Architects is building a public architectural practice defined by Metropolitan Intelligence and Geological Presence. We begin with the precise reading of urban, territorial, and cultural forces, and transform them into architecture that is clear in its logic, strong in its form, and deep in its atmosphere. The bureau is brought in when the essential questions of a project are still open — when form, program, landscape, identity, and direction have not yet been fixed, and architecture can still shape the project fundamentally. ## Services - [Masterplanning](https://lexteloo.com/services/masterplanning): Strategic masterplanning services creating sustainable, integrated communities and urban districts across Europe and the Gulf region. - [Resort Masterplan](https://lexteloo.com/services/resort-masterplanning): Resort masterplan and architectural concept for hotels, boutique hotels, sanatoriums, guesthouses, glamping, recreation centres, and campgrounds in Russia. MArch (Cum Laude) Delft University of Technology, with exchange studies at ETH Zurich and the office of Prof. Balkrishna Doshi (Sangath, India). PhD candidate in Architecture at the University of Porto (FAUP), 2018–2019. Academic teacher and researcher at The Why Factory (TU Delft, 2017–2022) in the core team of Prof. Winy Maas, working on design research, exhibitions, and publications, with collaborations including MVRDV, IAAC Barcelona, GSAPP New York, RMIT Melbourne, UTS Sydney, AMS Institute, Manifesta 13, and international biennales. Assistant Curator of Public Programs at the Faculty of Architecture, TU Delft (2019–2022) under Dean Prof. Dick van Gameren. ## Core principles 1. Contextual intelligence — every project begins with a precise reading of the forces that shape it. 2. Strong form — architecture should turn complexity into legible form. Structure, circulation, massing, sequence, and public space brought together in a clear architectural order. 3. Atmosphere and presence — work that holds metropolitan intensity and geological calm at once. 4. Experimental methods — digital tools, physical prototypes, and research-driven methods are part of the design process, not separate from it. ## Sectors and project scale - Masterplanning and urban design - Mixed-use developments (up to 250,000 m²) - Residential - Hospitality and resort concepts - Cultural and public space - Infrastructure and territorial studies ## Selected projects - [The Lake](https://lexteloo.com/projects/fishing-lake-recreation-area) (Moscow, Russia · 2026 · 16 ha): The Fishing Lake Recreation Area integrates aquatic features with diverse programming, fostering user interaction and spatial continuity. - [The Terraces](https://lexteloo.com/projects/fishing-lake-resort-mnoss0i4) (Moscow, Russia · 2026 · 6 ha): The design engages with the terrain's topography to create a resort that harmonizes with its natural surroundings. - [The Loop](https://lexteloo.com/projects/new-moscow-innovation-hub-park-mnofxl5h) (New Moscow, Russia · 2025 · 40,000 m2): The New Moscow Innovation Hub + Park integrates flexible office spaces within a lush landscape, fostering collaboration and outdoor engagement. - [The Cascade](https://lexteloo.com/projects/new-moscow-mix-use-complex-mnog7a9b) (Moscow, Russia · 2025): This project proposes a new urban district in New Moscow, integrating diverse functions into a continuous architectural landscape. - [The Grid](https://lexteloo.com/projects/appartments-facade) (Moscow, Russia · 2025): This project explores the interplay of geometry and materiality to create a dynamic residential facade. - [The Wide House](https://lexteloo.com/projects/the-wide-house) (Sochi, Russia · 2025 · 300 m2): A horizontally expanding home that integrates architecture and garden into a cohesive system. - [City Park of Nizhny Novgorod](https://lexteloo.com/projects/city-park-of-nizhny-novgorod) (Sovetsky district, Nizhny Novgorod, Russia · 2025 · 3.55 ha (6 ha influence zone)): A 3.55-hectare valley park in Nizhny Novgorod.
