Infrastructure Concepts
Infrastructure projects are the ones that disappear when they work. A transport hub that no one notices because the connections are obvious. A flood-defence wall that reads as landscape. A station that feels like the entrance to the city it serves. Infrastructure is the work of making something necessary invisible and the work of making something invisible necessary.
Infrastructure concepts at Lex te Loo Architects treat infrastructure as a piece of city, not as a piece of engineering. Concept and АГО stages, fixed scope, fixed timeline.
The problem we solve
Most infrastructure projects fail at the seam between engineering and city. The transport engineers resolve the throughput, the structural engineers resolve the spans, the architects are brought in late to wrap the result in cladding. The infrastructure works mechanically and reads as a wound in the urban fabric.
The alternative is to bring the urban question to the engineering table from day one. What does the station owe the adjacent district. How does the flood wall become a public promenade. How does the transit hub knit two parts of the city that the railway separated. The Geological Method applies to infrastructure the same way it applies to a resort: read the forces, find the organising element, write the sequence. The engineering follows.
What you get

АГО
АГО package coordinated with the engineering documents. Urban-scale views, integration with adjacent districts, public realm strategy, materials for stakeholder presentations.
Авторское сопровождение
10% of fee through delivery. Quarterly reviews. The right to intervene when the territorial logic is being diluted. A retained authority over the concept until the project meets the territory.
