Village 24
A 300-hectare residential village masterplan outside Moscow, organised as interconnected little neighborhoods along the riverbank.
Key challenge
Balancing privacy and community in a residential development — encouraging cooperation and interaction while preserving each household's individuality, and achieving a sense of security through spatial organisation rather than intrusive measures.
Concept
Village 24 reimagines village life for the modern era: interconnected ‘little neighborhoods,’ each with shared courtyards and ponds for community activity and rainwater harvesting, connected by pathways meandering along the riverbank.
