Ten timber houses, a reception and a banya with a pool on a forest plot of 0.86 ha. Each house has its own garden and BBQ zone, screened from its neighbours by low planted mounds.
Key challenge
The plot is 8,556 m². Timber houses must stand 15 m apart for fire safety. The brief asks for ten houses, and each guest wants a garden that nobody else can see into.
Concept
Three house sizes make ten houses fit. Sixteen low mounds with large bushes, and the turn of each house, make all ten BBQ zones private. Cars stay at the reception, and a golf cart takes guests to their house.
