Omololu Soetan joins the bureau as partner in Lagos
Lex te Loo Architects now works from Moscow and Lagos. Omololu Soetan takes the site, the brief and the client in Lagos; the model, the images and the brochure come from the bureau. First result: Lagos Lagoon.

Lex te Loo Architects has a partner in Lagos. Omololu Soetan, architect, joins the bureau as partner for its work in Nigeria. The bureau now works from two cities: Moscow and Lagos.
The Lagos work is for developers of small housing schemes, eight to thirty homes: the concept design, the plans with room areas, the images and the sales brochure, by one team, in weeks rather than months. Lagos holds the site, the brief, local practice and the conversation with the client. Moscow holds the model, the images and the brochure. Permit drawings stay with a registered Lagos practice as architect of record.
The bureau's laboratory has been reading Lagos with a team of Lagos students since the summer; the practice now follows the research. Omololu was part of that team.
The first scheme made this way is online: Lagos Lagoon, eight homes, a shared pool and a garden on a plot by Five Cowries Creek.
