MVRDV: (w)ego Exhibition

(w)ego is an interactive installation that explores flexible, evolutionary architecture within dense urban environments, fostering community engagement.

MVRDV: (w)ego Exhibition

(w)ego serves as a spatial experiment investigating how adaptable structures can meet diverse community needs. Each room embodies different ideals, utilizing transparent materials to foster dialogue about spatial organization and its impact on social dynamics. The design process emphasizes modularity and flexibility, prompting participants to negotiate their spatial requirements. This participatory methodology not only reflects individual preferences but also encourages a collective identity within the urban fabric.

Through research and interactive engagement, (w)ego has generated emergent typologies that challenge conventional housing models, culminating in the publication of a typological puzzle in the book (w)EGO: Dream Homes in Density, which documents the outcomes and insights garnered from this innovative approach.
